This year’s Orgatec sees Allermuir once again present products that are ‘Anything but Ordinary’. The new products being exhibited in Cologne, Germany for the first time are a testament to Allermuir’s unique fusion of world class design, innovation and traditional craftsmanship.
Product development at Allermuir is very much driven by changes they see in the way people work, meet, greet, dine, relax, play or break away. Current trends blurring the line between workplace, hospitality and domestic design have been a particular inspiration for Allermuir this year and have created some interesting design opportunities.
Meet the family
Designed by PearsonLloyd, Famiglia is an elegant and harmonious range of soft seating and tables designed for modern workplaces and hospitality environments. Gone are the days of a rigid hierarchy of furniture, as we embrace creative and fluid spaces that are more domestic in style than traditional corporate furniture.
There are over twenty products within the Famiglia collection including a family of lounge, low, mid and high back chairs that between them offer a choice of legs, frames and bases. These are complemented by a range of occasional and work tables for informal or formal needs.
“So often we celebrate the design of individual chairs and tables without considering their potential relationship with other elements conceived with a different function. This single family seeks to deliver a broad spectrum of uses in an array of different environments.”
Progress is beautiful
A welcome addition to the Allermuir collection is Silta, a luxurious range of contemporary high tables that merge modern design with vintage inspiration. Sit, stand, lean, touch down. Silta can be used with or without stools, setting the tone from fast and efficient, to informal and relaxed. Designed with generous proportions, Silta provides just the right amount of personal space, whether you’re working alone or in collaboration with others.
We’ve been keeping this one quiet...
Allermuir introduces Baudot, a beautiful example of where form meets function. Named after Baudot binary code made up of Zeroes and Strings, this range has meaning and purpose that is more than meets the eye. As well as making a visual impact on any environment, the range can also be used as an acoustic solution to noisy areas, such as open plan offices, atria and hospitality.
Mote is a new soft seating range that recognizes the crucial role of versatile and informal spaces within the modern office landscape. Mote includes sofas, ottomans, screens and accessories for beautiful defined spaces.
Mote has been conceived taking account of both advances in technology and new thinking around the way we work best, whether meeting, interacting, learning or relaxing. The range offers various configurations that help reclaim redundant space, providing a relaxed posture suited to informal and creative settings.
Visitors are welcome at Stand 8 C11, Orgatec exhibition, Koelnmesse, 25-29th October 2016.
