Allermuir Holiday Style
Centrepiece
Start with the centrepiece and everything else will follow. Instead of one large focal point which can be overpowering try two or three smaller arrangements. The effect can be just as dramatic and the table will feel more balanced.
Go Wild
Use sculptural arrangements of dried grasses, wildflowers and twigs to bring touches of nature to your table. They look super stylish and will last far longer than fresh flowers.
Found Objects
Don't feel that you have to stick to traditional tableware and flowers – baubles are not just for the tree! Look for ornaments and decorations that you already have but have not considered using in this way.
Place Settings
Try typing a napkin or piece of linen in a loose knot and add dried grasses or a single spring of rosemary for natural, understated style.
Not strictly part of the tablescape but essential to set the tone. Playlists should be curated and classic with the perfect sprinkling of nostalgia.
Current music can be hit and miss – if you have a diverse guest list you don't want to alienate anyone.
