Uku, designed by Simon Pengelly, is a visually delicate wood lounge chair. Designed to be harmonious and balanced, with no individual feature being the main protagonist, allowing Uku to elegantly fit into any setting.
Uku possess a subtle Scandinavian influence where materiality, honesty, and warmth, are familiar characteristics of wood, are quietly abundant. Furthermore, the upholstered elements have a visually intuitive and inclusive relationship with the frame.
Sympathetic to the wooden material, Uku’s frame is designed to cradle the upholstery, creating an important visual link between the junction of the arm and back upholstery.
Uku is available in two sizes, mid and high back, and two finishes, oak and oak black stained black.
