Mozaik wins silver at Best of Neocon 2017

We are incredibly proud that Mozaik, designed for Allermuir by Mark Gabbertas, has been presented with a Silver Best of NeoCon award for Seating: Sofas and Lounge.

Mozaik is a beautiful new modular system of soft seating, storage and accessories. Made up of geometric stools, benches and storage in various heights, Mozaik can create a limitless number of interesting architectural designs and landscapes.

Versatility is at the heart of Mozaik’s design. So often in modular seating there are limits to how a system can be configured, a set of unwritten rules that bound the range’s possibilities. In creating Mozaik, Allermuir and Gabbertas set out to throw away the rule book, meaning that there is no right or wrong situation or formation. Every color combination and configuration will reflect a personal vision for their use - a soft patterning of space, whether that be small or large.

On hearing of the win Mark Gabbertas commented,

The Best of NeoCon® competition, sponsored by Contract Magazine, honors new products that are exhibited in theMART in Chicago during NeoCon in June. Jurors are architects and designers, as well as corporate, education, healthcare, and government facilities management executives who are responsible for selecting and buying furniture and furnishings for their clients or organizations.

On seeing Mozaik, the Jurors commented:

"Love the versatility of the units. Even just the two person bench, it was cute and functional. Tapered bottom is a wonderful detail. Lots of potential uses."
